Planned Giving
Several individuals have planned to give to LSS as part of their estate planning or their will. A presentation can be made for your congregation to outline how their final gifts can make a long-lasting impact on communities in need of Christ’s love. Having individuals from your congregation inform LSS of their commitment helps to sustain our work for generations and promotes a spirit of philanthropy and discipleship.
Individual Campaigns
Periodically LSS embarks on a special fundraising campaign for a special need. Partnering congregations have tithed a portion of their own campaign to benefit LSS, or simply felt called to support the theme of the campaign with a special gift. This allows congregations to be responsive to current needs and make a direct connection for members to a specific cause.
Lutheran Planned Giving of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan
Through Lutheran Planned Giving of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, the ELCA Foundation is our partner in providing gift planning services to individuals and families who want to remember LSS Foundation and/or Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, Inc (LSS). in their will or estate plan. These services are made available to individuals without obligation.
Gift planning services for individuals
An ELCA Foundation regional gift planner can help you navigate your options to create a gift plan that benefits LSS Foundation and/or LSS while maximizing your financial and estate-planning goals. Options include:
- Gifts made through wills, trusts or estates
- Charitable gift annuities
- Donor-advised funds
- Named endowment funds
- Gifts of cash, securities, and real estate
- Qualified charitable distributions from your IRA
